Raila Odinga’s youngest daughter Winnie Odinga received two marriage proposals from men keen on winning her heart within one week. The first proposal came from Sammy Gunga who took to Twitter albeit in humour requesting the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga for Winnie’s hand in marriage.
Gunga wrote; “For the love I have for you Baba, please allow me to marry your daughter Winnie.” His efforts caught the attention of Winnie who quickly pointed out that his intentions are not clear as to whether he wanted to marry her because he loved his father or because he loved her.
Odinga divulged that in line with the culture of her Luo people, she would only make decisions on any marriage proposals after her mother Ida Odinga has approved the dowry being offered adding that her potential suitor would need to have outstanding academic qualifications.
Next in line was popular singer and Ghetto Radio Brekko show host Maji Maji. The proposal laced in humour was communicated on air by Maji Maji when he called Winnie to thank her for giving out ten tickets to fans to attend Gor Mahia’s game against Angola’s Petro Atletico on Sunday.
Winnie sparked the proposal after she jokingly said that she would also be attending the game not only to support Gor Mahia, but also to find a husband. All is not lost for the legendary singer as Winnie promised to add her to the list of admirers. She said that she would consider a man who is physically fit, possibly a footballer to be her ideal man.
