Opera, the leading Mobile Browser in Kenya with investment in micro lending and remittances products in the country since 2018 has defied orders to become a customer preference in Kenya’s financial market.
The lending arm which adopted a business model that is against brick and mortar is an app based solution that offers instant credit to approved borrowers has seen tremendous growth while remittances services was late last year put on hold to redefine the strategy.
As a result, Opera has defined a new operational structure with the introduction of Kenya’s Country Director Role and General Manager’s Role who together with the MD will oversee Kenya’s business operations.
It remain to be seen whether Opera newly created position of Kenya Director will be an internal or external appointment.
