Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Reveals The Change That Shows How Much Manchester United Rate Wolves

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hinted that he may look to mirror Wolves’ formation in the FA Cup quarter final on Saturday night.

Manchester United travel to Molineux in what is arguably the tie of the last eight.

United come into the match with a number of first teamers unavailable through injury and suspension.

Juan Mata, Alexis Sanchez, Jesse Lingard and Romelu Lukaku are all ruled out with knocks, while Ashley Young will miss the tie after picking up at a yellow card in the last round.

Phil Jones is set to return after a period on the sidelines and that could mean that United look to alter their shape that has been so effective.

The Red Devils have played with three at the back under Solskjaer, when they switched formation during the 2-0 defeat to Arsenal last time out.

The United manager hinted to reporters that he may once again look at a tactical switch up: “We’ve got Diogo, Phil Jones can play there [at right-back], so we’ve got players who could play there. We might even swap to a different system, you never know.”

“But Wolves away, what a difficult game that can be. So comparisons? Well we’re not challenging to win the league this year but we are challenging for the other two trophies.”

As has become the usual this season, Wolves have no injury concerns ahead of the tie and Ryan Bennett’s eligibility actually poses a selection dilemma for Nuno Espirito Santo.
