‘How Dare You’ – Nicholas And Le Tissier CLASH On Live TV After Man Utd And Arsenal Claim

The pundits were discussing Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Manchester United in the Premier League last Sunday.

Goals from Granit Xhaka and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang gave the Gunners an impressive win at the Emirates, ending Ole Gunnar Solskjaer‘s unbeaten league start in interim charge of the Red Devils.

Xhaka’s goal has caused plenty of debate after his long-range effort swerved and wrong-footed United goalkeeper David De Gea.

The Switzerland international is known for having a powerful shot, though accuracy sometimes lets him down.

And Le Tissier joked Xhaka’s reputation caused De Gea to take his shot too easily.

“He might have thought ‘it’s Granit Xhaka shooting from 30 yards, I’m not really going to be in any trouble here’,” Le Tissier said.

But Arsenal hero Nicholas was quick to defend Xhaka, replying: “How dare you suggest such a thing.”

De Gea has been criticised by many pundits for Xhaka’s goal.

Former Manchester United right-back Gary Neville says it was undoubtedly a mistake from the 28-year-old.

But Le Tissier has sympathy for the Spain No 1.

He says the ball moved too late for De Gea to react to it.

“The ball didn’t start swerving straight away,” Le Tissier said.

“It starts swerving about 15 yards into its trajectory.

“And by that point De Gea has taken that step and all of a sudden, about halfway through its trajectory, the ball then starts to divert.

“And at that point he’s done as his body weight has gone completely the other way.”
