Which English Team Will Most Likely Progress The Furthest In The Champions League?

Who says English teams struggle in Europe? All six Premier League sides who took part in the last round of the Champions League and Europa League progressed, in what was a memorable fortnight for the beautiful game in the country of its birth.

Where else to start but with the North-Western sides who overcame adversity to book their place in the hat. Both Manchester United and Liverpool recorded impressive away victories against Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich respectively.

Dumping two favorites out in the process. Then, you have Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur. Pep Guardiola’s men were dominant against a struggling Schalke, while Spurs were simply scintillating, beating an immensely talented Borussia Dortmund comfortably.

In terms of the Europa League, Arsenal overturned a 3-1 first-leg deficit to qualify, largely thanks to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s best superhero impersonation. Chelsea found it comfortable against Dynamo Kyiv as Maurizio Sarri looks to steady the ship.

Today, the draw for the quarter-final stages were made. Whoever these teams were drawn against, it was going to be difficult. Inevitably, we’ve also been treated to one all-English tie – in what promises to be an absolute cracker for fans of all involved.
