Jose Chameleone’s bar closed indefinitely by authorities

Ugandan veteran Jose Chameleone’s bar dubbed DNA has been indefinitely closed over license issues.

The bar was closed on Wednesday evening, just a few hours before it hosted the late Emmanuel Mayanja a.k.a AK47’s tribute night.

The bar’s three months operation license was brought to a sudden stop over unfinished authority clearances.

Atmosphere Lounge and Big Mike’s bar were shut over noise pollution and flouting public health regulations as well as lack of operational licenses, mb.ug reports.

The closure of these bars was pointed at as a major crackdown on noise polluters in the city launched by Kampala Capital City Authority’s (KCCA) letter.

“We regret to inform our esteemed customers that our earlier anticipated AKAY 47 night at DNA tonight will not take place due to circumstances beyond our control.

Our three months of operations have been put to a halt by unfinished Authority clearances which we are dedicated to accomplishing as soon as possible,” read DNA’s statement in part.

Jose Chameleone is yet to address the issue being the boss of the bar.
