According to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) Noordin Haji’s office, the war on corrutpion is not in anyway targeting any community but only individuals who have mismanaged public money.
The DPP said those who stole from Kenyans should carry their own crosses and stop dragging their tribes and communities into the cases.
The office is prosecuting 16 cases involving Sh100 million and above, 17 involving between Sh10 million and Sh99 million and 10 involving between Sh1 million and Sh9 million.
In a huge list seen in the news rooms, Kikuyus top the list, followed by Luos and Kalenjins are third.
The revelations come against a backdrop of accusations by politicians affiliated to Mr Ruto who have time and again claimed that the war against graft is politically instigated.
Led by Elgeyo-Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen and Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, the leaders have alleged that Mr Haji’s office is being used to scuttle Mr Ruto’s 2022 presidential ambitions.
“I am surprised, this is why I came with this file because I do not want it to look like it’s coming from my head, this is our statistics of accused persons by ethnic tribe….So who am I targeting with all these? I don’t know,” said Mr Haji.
However, as the Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji on Wednesday profiled Kenya’s corruption scourge by tribe, self proclaimed NRM leader and lawyer Miguna Miguna has accused the DPP for insincerity saying that there is ZERO Kikuyu CS, PS or CEO who is facing the alleged charges.
Apparently, @UKenyatta‘s hand-picked @ODPP_KE Noordin Haji has stated that 141 Kikuyu clerks and messengers have been “charged with corruption-related offences.” No names. But responding to his claims, DPP via twitter responded,

Miguna went ahead and wrote :”Wrong. Noordin Haji must quit playing games. He is paid a lot of money from our taxes to provide that information. 50 million Kenyans will not attend court to get those names. More significantly, there is ZERO Kikuyu CS, PS or CEO who is facing the alleged charges.”
Kikuyu’s have ruled this Country for 25 years, Kalenjins have ruled for 24 years too and the results is always the same: Corruption, Assassinations, land grabbing, Tribalism, Ethnicity, nepotism and the list continue. If migunas allegations are to be believd thenm the war is of the VIP. He should however check the names and offences in the Court records that are open to the public.
