First Lady Margret Kenyatta became a butt of all jokes on the Internet, after a homeless woman embarrassingly gave birth at Uhuru Park on Wednesday despite billions being raised in the Beyond Zero Marathon.

20 year old Rebecca Atieno gave birth to a bouncing baby girl under a tree at the public park after being denied entry into Mike Sonko’s public toilets, because she didn’t have sh 10 to pay.

Rebecca’s is one of the saddest stories that no mother should be going through in the 21st century. She had been fired from her job at a hotel a few hours before delivery.

She had nowhere to go, after her landlord kicked her out of a sh.50 per day lodging in Muthurwa. And that is how she found herself at under a tree, where her water broke and she pushed out a healthy baby.

St. John’s Ambulance only came in to help after she had delivered her baby.

“I marveled at my newborn daughter’s perfect fingers and toes. I felt lucky, as all new parents do, but also because I had somehow miraculously managed to do this all on my own,” Rebecca told the media. Her baby has been named Hope.

But angry Kenyans cannot believe that this actually, happened in the city, a few days after the much publicized beyond zero Marathon.

First lady Margret Kenyatta is the brainchild of the initiative, which is supposed to ensure accessible maternal healthcare for all Kenyans.

The case of a woman giving birth in Uhuru Park shows how deep corruption has eaten into Kenya:
1. Running a Marathon aimed at free maternal care yet in hospitals nothng is ‘free’
2. Poor living standards
3. billions being laundered weekly 😟

So if a woman in Nairobi, can give birth in a park, what about one in a remote place like Turkana County?

Kenyans are now calling for an explanation from the First Lady on why and how this happened.
