President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday evening welcomed the president of France, Emmanuel Macron, who is in the country for a two-day State visit.

The most anticipated visit which saw Haile Selasie Avenue closed, was a huge thing for Kenya and Uhuru did not hide his happinessa as he went ahead trying to wow the French man.

On Twitter, President Kenyatta wrote a welcome message to the president in the French language.

” Je suis ravi d’accueillir mon ami Son Excellence Président Emanuel Macron de la République de France à State House, Nairobi. Le kenya et la France entretiennent des relations cordiales qui ont permis de stimuler la croissance dans différents secteurs au benefice de nos peuples,” the president tweeted.

This, however, did not go well with netizens as they described it as ‘forcing himself in’.
