The interview comes a time when the investigations of the dam scandal is ongoing.

Mr Haji and his DCI counterpart George Kinoti have been on spot, with Ruto’s allies accusing them of being used politically for the purposes of 2022 polls.

Last week, Elgeyo-Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen openly differed with Mr Haji over the construction of Kimwarer and Arror dams where the government says at least Sh21 billion was misappropriated.

Mr Haji, who admitted that the money had been paid contrary to Ruto’s claims, said he had dispatched his team to help the DCI in the ongoing investigations.

However DP Ruto dismissed the claims that the Ksh 21 billion was lost claiming that it was a big fat lie.
