Nick Jonas proved just how much of a sucker he is for his wife Priyanka Chopraon Tuesday when he surprised her with a black (or dark blue) Mercedes Maybach. “When the hubby goes number one.. the wifey gets a @maybach !!” Chopra captioned the photo of them smiling and kissing in front of the new car. “Introducing.. Extra Chopra Jonas.. haha .. I love you baby!! Yaaay! Best husband ever..”
He recently joked he was ‘done’ with his multiple weddings to new bride Priyanka Chopra when he ‘looked at the bill’ for the lavish ceremonies.
But Nick Jonas must still have some extra cash squirreled away, with the 26-year-old pop star splurging on a very expensive luxury car for his new bride on Tuesday.
The boy band member and his siblings achieved their first ever Billboard number one with Sucker – the music video for which featured Priyanka, as well as his brother Joe’s A-List fiance Sophie Turner. Nick Jonas made a hilariously candid admission about his multiple weddings to actress Priyanka Chopra during the Carpool Karaoke segment that aired Thursday on The Late Late Show on CBS.
Host James Corden asked Nick -who was hooked up to a lie detector- ‘Was there a point during your many weddings that you thought, ”I’m done with these weddings?”’
Nick paused and took a breath before answering, ‘Yes. It’s when I looked at the bill!’
Nick and Priyanka married in December with two weddings that lead to parties, receptions and ceremonies in her native India and the US.
All up, the nuptials cost the couple more than $800,000, according to E!News.
During the popular segment, host Corden, 40, after picking up Joe, Kevin and Nick on his ride to work, turned up the tunes and they all sang Burning Up together.
James then asked about their reunion after splitting in 2013 and Nick said they got back together after filming an upcoming Amazon Studios documentary.’It was to tell our story… and in that process, we did some very necessary healing because when things ended, it wasn’t the best. It was forced healing on camera,’ Nick explained while wearing a white T-shirt and yellow Not Of This Earth jacket.
‘And then in that, we started saying that there was a magic when we were together that we would all love to feel again,’ he added.
Nick opened up about their ‘forced therapy’ and said it included writing down questions in a bowl and picking them out.
He said one of the questions included, ‘Why do you think the band ended?’ and James quickly put the blame on him as his brothers playfully agreed.’I broke the band up, but I got us together again,’ Nick admitted.
James then surprised the siblings by letting John into the car along with his lie detector kit.
Joe, 29, was asked by James which brother gets on his nerves the most and he said Kevin, 31.’That’s true,’ John confirmed.
