Defrauded Gakuyo customers summoned by DCI

The office of DCI has said that it is in receipt of numerous fraud complaints touching on Gakuyo Real Estate, Ekeza Sacco Ltd and Gakuyo Investment Club.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has asked Nairobi and Kiambu residents with fraud complaints against three organisations to reports to its headquarters along Kiambu Road on March 18.

In a statement on Wednesday, the DCI noted that it had received “numerous” complaints concerning Gakuyo Real Estate, Ekeza Sacco Limited and Gakuyo Investment Club.

Affected members should carry with them deposit/withdrawal statements, deposit slips, any agreements and any other document relevant to the dealings.

Residents of the two counties were asked to report to the DCI at 9am on Monday.

“Carry with you bank statements showing withdrawal and deposit agreements, deposit slips, receipts and any other document relevant to the dealings,” John Kariuki said in the statement, on behalf of DCI boss George Kinoti.

He said a date will be set for residents of other counties to go to the DCI with their complaints.
