Directorate of Criminal Investigations has on Wednesday issued a notice inviting those who were defrauded by a scheme in Nairobi to record statements that will aid in investigations.

The notice stated that members from Nairobi and Kiambu region who suffered losses from Gakuyo schemes should report to DCI headquarters on 18th March, 2019.

In a letter seen by Daily Active, DCI indicated that a day will be set for members from other towns.

The public had complained of fraud from Gakuyo Real Estate, the parent company of the wobbling Ekeza Savings and Credit Cooperative Society owned by televangelist-turned-politician David Kariuki Ngare, popularly know as Gakuyo, who is the general overseer of Calvary Chosen Centre in Thika.
