Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang has said Arsenal are ‘really hungry’ to finish in the top four after beating Manchester United 2-0 at The Emirates on Sunday.

Granit Xhaka’s opener and Aubameyang’s penalty inflicted the first league defeat of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s reign at Old Trafford, with the win lifting Arsenal above Manchester United into the top four in the race for Champions League qualification.

Aubameyang, who missed a late penalty in the 1-1 draw against Tottenham last weekend, says that Arsenal are desperate to return to the Champions League and now feel that the top four race is in their hands.

“I watched the penalty I missed a lot. I knew that I made a mistake when I shot last week. But in life you have to always look forward and I had to be focused,” he told arsenal.com.

“That’s what I was against United.“It was important to have two great games, first against Tottenham and then tonight against Manchester United. And now we feel that we have everything in our hands. We know that it will be tough but we want to do something. We want to get back into the Champions League. We are really hungry.”
