Sonko’s health docket nominee reveals why she rejected the offer

Dr. Stella Bosire, a Nairobi County’s health docket nominee who rejected the offer has said that there were some factors that needed to be addressed before she could take up the nomination offer.

She listed Governor Mike Sonko’s abrasive leadership style, lack of respect to professionalism, lack of integrity and sensationalization of issues.

She also wanted certain issues such as accountability and transparency in resource allocation and utilization, political commitment and nepotism at the county addressed.

“Unfortunately, it has come to that but I will serve Kenyans in other places,” Bosire said.

Upon her nomination, Bosire was working as the Medical Superintendent at Kiambu Hospital.

Governor Mike Sonko however said that he will nominate someone else to fill the vacancy.

“Bosire was referred to me by one of my confidants as I wanted a woman well grounded in health matters. However, I will nominate somebody else. These things are normal and they do happen,” Sonko said.

Lands Executive Charles Kerich has been in acting capacity in the docket since September when Sonko suspended Vesca Kagongo who was also in acting capacity in the docket.
