The ”Red Devils” are continuing talks with Marcus Rashford’s representatives over a new contract for the England striker worth a basic £150,000 a week, rising to £200,000 a week with add-ons and bonuses.
The forward’s current deal, worth £75,000-a-week, expires at the end of next season, with the option for an extra year.
But United want to reward the 21-year-old’s progress and reflect his new-found status as one of their most important players.

However, United are understood to be confident of getting Rashford tied down to an improved long-term deal, with the Manchester-born forward said to have no desire to leave his boyhood club now he has established himself as an automatic choice under Solskjaer.
That was not the case under the previous boss Jose Mourinho, but Rashford has flourished under Solskjaer, scoring seven goals in 17 appearances, including the ice-cool 94th-minute penalty at PSG to clinch United’s epic Champions League comeback and seal their quarter-final place.
Meanwhile, manager Solskjaer is set to be named as United’s permanent boss during the upcoming international break.
Solskjaer has been on a remarkable run since being named as interim manager in December after Mourinho’s sacking, winning 14 games, drawing two and losing just twice.
The former United striker is now the only contender for the post, and the club’s top brass have already decided to make him their next permanent manager.
Unbelievable footage of Marcus Rashford’s winner. Did that really happen?! 🙌🏼🇾🇪
