Environment CS Tobiko opens innovation expo at UN plenary

The Cabinet Secretary for Environment Keriako Tobiko on Monday attended the United Nations Environment Assembly, where he opened a third Sustainable Eco-Innovation expo.

The UN over the same fete held a plenary of stakeholders and participants in the environment sector.

The forum was themed: Innovative solutions for environmental challenges and sustainable consumption and production.

Liberations on measures towards environmental sustainability arose, including the plastic bags ban in Kenya.

The plenary gathered world leaders, as well as key players from the government of Kenya.

The gathered delegates and participants further took a moment to honour those who perished on the Ethiopian Airlines crash on Sunday while trying to attend the environmental plenary.
