Kenyan soccer giants Gor Mahia will qualify for the Quarter finals of the CAF Confederations cup if they register a win against Petro De Luanda of Angola this Sunday at Kasarani stadium in Nairobi.
A win will lift ‘Kogalo’ to the top two positions on Group ‘D’ after a 4-0 thrashing by Egyptian outfit Zamalek Sunday night saw the Kenya champions slip to the bottom position with sox points from five games.
Zamalek now top the group with 8 points while Petro De Luanda is second with 7 points after the team registered a 2-0 win over Na Hussein of Algeria in the other group ‘D’ match while Na Hussein is third with 7 points.
Top two teams from each group will qualify for the quarter finals of the cup where overall winners will pocket a whooping 124.6 million shillings. The runners up will receive 62.2 million shillings.
