Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang says his penalty miss against Tottenham last week did nothing to damage his confidence that he’d find the net from the spot in Sunday’s victory over Manchester United.

The striker was given the chance to atone for his last-gasp miss in the 1-1 draw at Wembley when Alexandre Lacazette was brought down by Fred in the second half at the Emirates.

And he made no mistake this time, sending David de Gea the wrong way to double his side’s lead in the Premier League clash.

‘I was confident, all my team mates give confidence,’ Aubameyang told Jamie Redknapp during Sky’s post-match coverage.

‘Laca gave it me (the penalty) and it was cool from him. I did a mistake at Tottenham, I didn’t watch at the last minute, didn’t look at Loris.

‘I did that today all the way and today it went in. I didn’t look at the ball because I know where it is. It will be tough always but I am always really confident.’
