Veteran Singer Nyota Ndogo was yesterday forced to defend herself after she was mocked over her outfit choice during top concert.
The Pioneer artist was performing at the People Dialogue Festival on 8th March to commemorate the International Women’s Day.
On sharing her photos and videos on social media, some fans were clearly not impressed with what she was wearing.
The Artist was in a pair of rugged jeans and she wore a floral mini dress which fans claim did not match with her trouser.
The online trolling prompted her to block some of her Instagram follower.
Nyota Ndogo said that she would rather have two true followers than people who want her to fake her lifestyle. She also addressed fans who suggested to her that she should dress like other female artists.
The Coastal based musician blasted the trolls saying that they should stop putting artists under pressure by trying to make unnecessary demands.
She also added that it is not her clothes that determine her success in the music career and that is why she has never slept in hunger for lacking food.
Nyota also maintained that people should respect her opinion or step aside.
This is not the first time for a female musician to face backlash over her choice of dressing. Last month, Akothee was a hot topic for wearing an almost ‘naked outfit’ as some described it.
Speaking in Nyota Ndogo’s defense, some fans expressed their surprise saying that the fact that Nyota was trolled for being in a decent outfit is totally absurd.
