NPS advances skills of newly appointed County Commanders

14 recently appointed County Commanders have successfully completed a 2 weeks programme designed to prepare them in Strategic Leadership, Change Management, Command and Control, Effective Communication among other skills at the NPS Senior Staff College in Loresho.

This update was issued by the Inspector General Joseph Boinnet during the close of a workshop which brought together Police Regional Commanders and Senior Communicators from across various multi agency security institutions and government departments.

Boinnet yesterday said that the workshop was facilitated by the UK High Commission and was designed to impart the participants with skills and knowledge on strategic government communication, for effective dissemination of information on government policies and programs to the public.

On Monday, January 29 Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet , unveiled names of 47 newly appointed county police commanders in compliance with President Uhuru Kenyatta’s September 13, 2018, directive on restructuring of police command.

Boinnet also mentioned that the new county police commanders will be expected to coordinate with the eight regional police bosses whose names were unveiled on January 3, 2019
