International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrated on March 8 every year. It is a focal point in the movement for women’s rights.
This day is important to us women. And while some might say that men coming out in support of International Women’s Day is a bold move — even a controversial one — they have shown their willingness to stick our necks out to show solidarity with half of the world’s population.
The theme for International Woman’s Day 2019 is #BalanceforBetter which is a campaign that will run all year long. It doesn’t end on International Women’s Day.
The campaign theme provides a unified direction to guide and galvanize continuous collective action, with #BalanceforBetter activity reinforced and amplified all year.
