In the spirit of celebrating the International Women’s Day on Friday, Tana River Governor Dhadho Godhana decided to treat ladies in his county to free makeovers in select salons.
It was all hands on deck, with salonists working at an unusual speed in order to cope with the overwhelming numbers who streamed in the salon following the treat offer.
The residents were elated to access the services, some of which were for the first time
“It is the first time I’m getting into a salon for a manicure. This is very thoughtful of the governor, it has never happened in this county, never, for the first time I have bleached,” Asha Kalime stated.
Demands for various hairstyles coupled the air, with others choosing to bleach ahead of their weekend functions.
More numbers kept tripping in, nobody wanted to be left out, their faces filled with Joy.
