Real Madrid President is Tired of Solari, See What He Plans

The club hero is on the brink after Real’s season went from bad to worse in midweek.

With Los Blancos already floundering in La Liga, they were unceremoniously dumped out of the Champions League by Ajax.

The Dutch heavyweights cruised to a 4-1 win in Madrid.

It’s claimed crunch talks were held between president Florentino Perez and general director Jose Angel Sanchez yesterday.

They’ve reportedly opted to keep Solari at the helm until they’ve formally sorted a replacement.

Sensational returns to Real for Jose Mourinho and Zinedine Zidane have both been mooted.

Ex-Real president Ramon Calderon is adamant that Mourinho – who was dismissed by Manchester United in December – is Real’s No. 1 choice.

“I have no doubt Mourinho is the first option for the president,” Calderon said.

“He’s been called in the last few weeks. I think there will be many chances that he will be on the bench next season.”

Calderon, however, isn’t convinced Mourinho is a sensible option for Real.

In his previous stint at the club, the Portuguese was sent packing amid rumours of a bust up with players.

”I’ve already mentioned the amount of damage he caused here,” Calderon added.

“His style of play is not what the Bernabeu wants.

“What the fans want is what we’ve just seen from Ajax; bravery, aggression with a lot of speed and boldness. Mourinho doesn’t do this.

“I believe that he will be here next year as he’s the only manager who the president respects and it’s because he puts the dressing room in order and he demands the players to work hard.”

Real are a hefty 12 points behind pacesetters Barcelona in La Liga.

In addition to their Champions League exit, they are also out of the Copa del Rey.

A despondent Dani Carvajal admitted their season was virtually over after the Ajax humbling.

“I’ve never felt as sick as this, I don’t know how to explain it,” he said.

“In one week everything has gone, and all of it after matches at home.

“It is clear the season is over but we will continue working in the league because that’s what we have to do and we have to be professional.”
