Drama ensued at a Mtwapa Children’s department in Kilifi county after a 40-year-old woman stormed the offices demanding to have her eight children ‘transferred’ from her first husband to third husband’s home. Eunice Nzomo, accompanied by her third husband Wakio Mwilu, stormed Mtwapa Children’s office and asked the officers to direct her first husband to surrender the children he was staying with to her current husband.
Neighbors claimed Nzomo had a tendency of leaving her household to go visit the other husbands. “Nzomo would spend weeks or months in her previous husband’s homes claiming that she was going to see her children,” said one of her neighbors. Mwilu had accused her wife of siring children with other men while he had no child in his house.
The third husband was also reported to had attacked his two rivals for snatching his wife and luring her into love affairs while he was away. Nzomo’s close friends said the 40-year-old woman had been claiming that her marriage with the other husbands had not been officially terminated.
The matter is said to have created animosity in Nzomo’s third home with Mwilu who vowed to counter his competitors until he brings home all the children her wife had sired outside their marriage. The lady had a total of 10 children from the previous marriages, eight of whom she sired with the first husband.
