‘Waheshimiwa by day, party animals by night.’ Jeff Koinange turns up with Uhuru and Waiguru in Kirinyaga (Photos)

Our leaders are living it up and painting Kirinyaga town red, if these photos are anything to go by.

Kirinyaga University grounds was on March 5th serenaded by the never aging sounds of country music courtesy of a show hosted by Citizen TV anchor Jeff Koinange.

Renowned Kenyan country legend Sir Elvis plucked the strings and lend his golden voice as the event dubbed Kirinyaga Road Country kicked off in nostalgia with a sizeable crowd in tow.

Sir Elvis, among other stars, flanked Koinange in dousing the night with flashes of memories in an event that pulled in special guests led by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Devolution Conference host Anne Waiguru, Deputy President William Ruto, Rachel Shebesh and Senator Ledama Olekina among others graced the event.

President Kenyatta had earlier in the day opened the 6th annual conference – a five-day meeting that brings together county, government officials and other stakeholders in discussing devolution.
