JKIA strike – Let’s address the underlying cause – Otiende Amollo

Police calm striking JKIA workers

Rarieda MP, Hon. Otiende Amolo on Thursday rebuked the fracas at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by striking workers and police.

Hon. Amolo has outlined that the constitution allows Kenyans to picket, strike demonstrate or assemble, thus its unlawful to attack those practicing these right.

The legislature noted that JKIA workers are suspicious of the manner the KAA-JKIA merger issue is being handled hence issued a notice for the strike but nothing was done to avert the demos.

He further advised that an ad hoc committee be established to look into the KAA-JKIA merger case.
