3 things that DP Ruto wants governors to avoid

Deputy President William Samoei Ruto has on Thursday warned governors of factors that undermine devolution.

Addressing delegates at the closing ceremony of the 6th Devolution Conference in Kirinyaga county, Ruto stressed that corruption, wastage and mismanagement curtail the optimal use of county resources.

Dr. Ruto also noted that the Constitution provides robust independent institutions to deal with corruption.

“Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, Director of Criminal Investigations, Director of Public Prosecution and the Judiciary are well resourced to function effectively and efficiently.” concluded Ruto.
