Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi has shared his key highlights and achievements of the county since the inception of Devolution.
His remarks comes after the Official Opening of the 6th Annual Devolution Conference by President Uhuru Kenyatta in Kirinyaga County, which brought together Governors from different parts of the country.
The Governor noted that devolution has been the vehicle for transformation and prosperity as Kilifi County for the last six years.
Kingi also added that the key to achieving their aspirations as a County has been the cordial working relationship between his administration, the County Assembly and the Great People of Kilifi County.
Since inception, the governor says that the county officials have rallied as a people to ensure that their transformative action-plan aims to realise inclusive growth through equitable development in every part of Kilifi.
“We have envisioned a developed County where citizens have sufficient job opportunities and live better lives.” he said
Kingi is also confident that his administration has been keen to ensure that critical projects and programs are initiated to realise the promise of devolution.
“True to this, devolution has meant that benefits of development reach many more Kilifians. ” he added
The Governor also reiterated his commitment as a Government in providing support towards empowering the people of Kilifi County.
