The ‘short and sweet’ hit maker, Sauti Sol band were said that they would be joining an international recording label. It was rumoured that they were to join Sony Music Entertainment, an entity that is responsible for making huge music careers for international acts like Mariah Carey,Robert Kelly,late Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson among other acts.
They will join other African artistes like Davido, Tiwa Savage, Ycee and D’banj who are also part of the label if they get signed by Sony Music. However, it seem they are no longer interested with the new move.
During an interview, one of the group member, Bien said; ”we are not other people.Even if we sign the deal, the one we are going to get is not the deal anyone is going to get because of the years we have put in. If you look at the last 10 years, that’s like millions of dollars worth we have invested in ourselves. The other band members were shocked at his revelation. He even told his awestruck mates that the message was from a random number that he had never seen before!
