President Uhuru has told off politicians who accused him of stealing from the public.
Speaking at the 6th Annual Devolution Conference On
“Niliona mwingine amesema nimeiba mali ya nani. Mimi namwambia, tembea hapo Karua Forest ofisi ziko hapo. Kwenda useme kile Uhuru ameiba, shida iko wapi jamani?” President Kenyatta asked.
“Hii mambo ya kutishatisha tisha watu kwa sababu umetaja mambo kwa mazishi, huyo mtu Amekufa hatakusaidia. Yule mtu ana uwezo wa kukusaidia ni DCI, enda huko useme umepeleka kesi hii, na Uhuru Kenyatta ameiba nini,” he added.
President Kenyatta stated that Kenyans would not do away with the vice if the agencies given the mandate to investigate and prosecute would not be allowed to do their work.
The president maintained that the war on corruption would go on and asked those implicated to lawyer up and prove their innocence instead of using funeral ceremonies to defend themselves.

The President also called upon the Judiciary to play its part to ensure that the the war on graft moves speedy
The President also noted that those who have benefited from the proceeds of economic crime in the past surrender their ill-gotten gains.
