Rio Ferdinand Fears Man United Fans will do this if Ole doesn’t get the Job

Back in December, Jose Mourinho was dismissed from Manchester United’s dugout and the club’s former striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was appointed as a caretaker manager until the end of the season. However, the Norwegian’s unbelievably successful first months at Old Trafford have sparked a lot of discussions over his potential long-term future.

Thus, Rio Ferdinand, an iconic United centre-back, believes it would be it would be a crime from the board not to give the man what he surely deserves. The Englishman has told BT Sport:

“He’s created a winning mentality with a squad that was lacking confidence, lacking belief, lacking direction and he’s created that within the group. That’s so powerful.

“He just needs to continue what he’s doing. The club are right to bide their time and wait until the end of the season before they announce anything, but I think he’s made it impossible for them not to give him the job.

@rogbennett brilliant and insightful interview with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer..”If you want to be the best at something you must be interested in it and must be willing to work very hard for it.” Hard not to give this man the full time job @ManUtd— Jason Collister (@Jason_Collister) March 5, 2019

“Imagine if they said they’re not going to give Solskjaer the job. They’d tear the place down, the fans.

“He’s given them hope. He’s given them a feeling that ‘this is our Manchester United again.’ You can’t put a pound note on what that’s worth.”
