This is the best news a mother could possibly have after a divorce, Nollywood actress and philanthropist, was granted full custody of her son, King Andre.

The order was issued by an Abuja customary court who also granted her ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill, conditional visitation. The actress’ legal representative, Barrister Ukechukwu C Uju-Azorji, while speaking to journalists described the case as a very hectic and dramatic one.

Uju-Azorji revealed that there was a time Churchill’s attorney filed a KSh 55, 300 case against Tonto to foot the bill for Churchill’s transport to attend the court hearings. They felt Tonto was using King Andre’s school runs as a tactic to drag the case thereby making the father spend so much money to travel to and from Ghana.

When questioned about the speculation that Tonto had denied Churchill the visitation rights, he said the visitation rights were based on some conditions which he had failed to meet. He stated that Churchill failed to pay for child support and some part of King’s expenses. He also said that her ex-husband was instructed by the court to pay for a confidant who will supervise the visits.

This was after Tonto evidently proved to the court that she cannot trust Churchill around King alone at his young age. “We gave the court physical evidence that the man can be very diabolical and he doesn’t have the child’s interest at heart. Even in court, one of the judges said it seems the man is more interested in getting back at Tonto and not necessarily his interest for the child,” said Uju-Azorji He said Churchill was told to pay KSh 55, 300 monthly for Andre’s upkeep and send his school fees directly to the school which he has not fulfilled.

Tonto revealed she was going to launch her own reality show which will feature the actress talking about her cosmetic surgery and motherhood. However, the latter part now has a smaller chance to become real, as she was officially forbidden by the court to show her son on television.
