EX-CS Sports Rashid Echesa, on Tuesday, officially handed over the Ministry Of Sports, Culture, and Heritage (MOSCA) to CS Amina Mohammed who held education docket.
The ceremony took place at the Sports Ministry offices where he took the chance to thank President Uhuru Kenyatta for appointing him to the position.
“At the handover ceremony to the incoming Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed. I once again thank President Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto for considering me amongst 50 Million Kenyans to serve my country in the capacity of a CS,” he tweeted.
Echesa learnt about his firing on TV and was shocked since the president did not inform him.
His fall comes few weeks after he was named in many scandals involving money laundring schemes.
