Avril makes a major milestone in her music career

Kenyan celebrated female singer Avril has make a major milestone in her music journey after she released her latest hit dubbed ‘Kitoko’ with Congolese singer, L Rice.

Kitoko is a feel-good RnB song that talks about a man who is trying to woo a lady he just met. The song is done in Lingala, Swahili and English.

L Rice had this to say about the song and working with Avril, “The song speaks to taking a chance and trying to court a lady you have just met and really liked. Avril is a good musician and she is very professional. I hope I get a chance to work with her again.”

L Rice is a Congolese musician who used to be in Ferre Gola’s band but has since broken out to focus on his solo career.

Avril had this to say about the project and working with L Rice, “This song is all about the initial stages of a man making his intentions known. This project was fun to work on as I got to learn a bit of Lingala and working with L Rice was a treat.”

Kitoko was produced by Saint P and the video was directed by J Blessing.W

Though this is her first project with L Rice, Avril has in the recent past worked with by Saint P and J Blessing. She recently released a song called ‘In Love’ a song that spoke to all the loved-up couples.

Avril had this to say about the ‘In Love’ song, “This beautiful song was written by Tommy Flavour with me at the back of his mind. It is a song I believe will resonate with every person who is truly in love and every couple that has ups and downs in their union but still manage to push through.”
