Confirming that the products had been distributed, the county’s hospitality industry’s players revealed that they had earlier acquired their own stock in preparation for the event.

In Late January Waiguru had received Kshs 94 million in preparation for the Conference in which President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to attend

Waiguru confirmed that all 47 counties contributed Kshs2 million each in preparation for the annual event.

To make the event a success, Waiguru revealed that she was working with public transport operators to ease congestion for the duration the event will take place.

“We are working in partnership with the government to improve roads which will be used by the delegates,” she stated.

Motorists from Nairobi to Kerugoya will use the Sagana-Kagia- Baicho route whereas those from Kianyaga, Kimunye and Mwea will ply through Rukenya junction to avoid Kutus town.

Each delegate will have to part with Kshs 20,000 to attend the event and Kshs 50,000 to exhibit products.
