The sixth Devolution Conference kicks off Monday in Kirinyaga County with President Uhuru Kenyatta’s big four agenda expected to guide discussions at the annual event.

The conference however comes in the wake of a renewed war on graft with governors standing accused of failing to stem the vice in the counties.

On Sunday organizers were putting in place final touches ahead of the weeklong conference that begins Monday.

President Uhuru Kenyatta and Opposition leader Raila Odinga are among the 6000 delegates expected to attend the Conference which will be convened at the Kirinyaga University.

Anchored on the big four agenda, the sixth devolution conference will focus on ways in which counties can become more economically viable.
