Nyeri Deputy Governor Caroline Karugu on Saturday confronted Public Service, Youth and Gender Affairs Cs Margaret Kobia with an assignment .
Speaking in Nyeri at the Launch of the 2019 National Lenten Campaign lead by Catholic Church, Karugu emotionally lectured Kobia over youth affairs.
The event was attended by several leaders including DP William Ruto.
Karugu said since matters do with youth were crucial to the country, it is high time that CS Kobia does research to provide recommendations solutions to the issues affecting youth in the country.
“I know as a professor you value research and getting solutions, research-based solutions is the way forward of this country. So I want to challenge you to look at Pshyco-social issues that are going on in our society,” she told CS Kobia.
“I want to challenge you to look critically at issues of the youth and come up with recommendations so that when young people grow up they have something to live for,” added the Deputy Governor.
She says innovative young minds were needed and that the adolescents required education on morals and ways of surviving.
