‘The Rainbow King’ Saudi Sheikh build worlds largest SUV

At first glance, you’d be forgiven for mistaking this SUV as a character from the Transformer series. But the vehicle is very much real, and with a whopping 10 wheels, is officially the largest SUV in the world.

The monster vehicle was designed by ‘The Rainbow King’ Dubai’s Sheikh Hamad Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, and features sections of a Jeep Wrangler, Dodge Dart and Oshkosh M1075 military truck. Sheikh Hamad posted an image of the vehicle, dubbed Dhabiyan, on his Instagram page.

He wrote: “Dhabiyan is based on the Oshkosh M1075 military truck with the PLS (Palletized Load System), a Jeep Wrangler was annexed to it as a driver cabin.”

Measuring 10.8 metres long, 2.5 metres wide and 3.2 metres tall, Dhabiyan is an absolute beast, and weighs a whopping 24 tonnes.

Unsurprisingly, the truck features an enormous 600hp Caterpillar C15 15.2-litre, 6-cylinder inline water-cooled diesel engine.

However, it could be a while before we see the Dhabiyan hitting the road.

The huge vehicle is currently being exhibited at the off-road history museum in Al Madam, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.

It remains unclear how much it cost to develop the truck.
