Solskjaer reveals the Man Utd player he is ‘delighted’ with

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has “been delighted” with the performances of Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw.

Shaw made 12 Premier League starts in 17 Premier League games under Jose Mourinho this season, but has missed just one of the subsequent 11 matches since Solskjaer was appointed.

The 23-year-old has been quietly impressive under the Norwegian, perhaps answering one of the five transfer questions United will face this summer.

Solskjaer insists he has changed little with regards to his management of Shaw, stating that any improvement is down to the player himself.

“I don’t know what I’ve done differently,” Solskjaer claimed, knowing full well he just hasn’t been a d*ck to him in public.

“He’s played but it’s him. He’s got another couple of years in him, Luke, and when he decides to drive forward and goes into fifth gear there’s no-one quicker, no-one as sharp.

“Confidence grows when you play well and I’ve been delighted with his performances.”
