Coach Migne Names New Recruits Ahead of Ghana Clash

Head coach Sebastien Migne has already named a provisional a 24-man squad to prepare for the match. Only nine local based players including Kariobangi Shark’s Duke Abuya made it to the squad sheet. Kenya and Ghana have already qualified for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations which will be held in Egypt in June.

Two foreign based players David Sessay who turn out for Crawley Town, in England and Christopher Tangen Mbamba  who plays for Swedish side  Oskarshamns have been included in the squad. Migne has retained majority of the players who did duty in the last three qualifying matches.

Apart from the duo which is expected to make their maiden appearance for Sebastian Migne side, Kariobangi Sharks Striker Duke Abuya is also hoping to gain his first cap as Gor Mahia striker Oliech is forced to wait on the sidelines once again. The Frenchman has retained majority of the players whom he deployed did in the last three qualifying matches.

Only nine local based players were named in the squad that hits the camp on March 17. The quintet of Abdallah Hassan (Bandari), Allan Wanga (Kakamega HomeBoyz), Nicholas Kipkirui (Gor Mahia), Roy Okal (Mathare United) were named as reserves. National soccer team Harambee Stars are expected to commence training on the 17th of this month to prepare for the 2019 Africa Cup of nations qualifier match against Ghana on the 23rd of this month in Accra.
