Callum Wilson Injury Update Before Bournemouth Vs Man City

Bournemouth are set to host Manchester City on Saturday as they look to end their poor form.

The Cherries have now slipped down to 12th in the table and after such a bright start to the season, they have lost their last four league outings.

The latest of which saw them get smashed 5-1 by Arsenal in midweek.

Bournemouth could move as high as 9th with a win on Saturday but that is unlikely given their opponents.

Man City head into the game 2nd in the Premier League having won their last four fixtures.

Also, with 1st place Liverpool facing a tough Everton test this game week, City will know it is a great chance for them to regain top spot.

However, City are likely to be without Fernandinho and Aymeric Laporte who suffered injuries vs Chelsea in the League Cup final.

Bournemouth also have several injury problems heading into the game.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Friday, Howe revealed Bournemouth will likely be without both Junior Stanislas and Dominic Solanke vs City.

Howe also gave an update on Callum Wilson. Wilson has missed Bournemouth’s last five league games with a knee injury.

However, Bournemouth will make a late call on if the England striker can feature on Saturday.

“We’re still without Junior Stanislas, Dom Solanke and Steve Cook. Callum Wilson has been making good progress, so we’ll have to make a late call on him.”
