Blogger Robert Alai has poked holes in Rashid Echesa’s sacking as Sports Cabinet Secretary (CS).
While taking to his twitter account he said that Echesa’s sacking is not enough in the renewed war against graft.
According to the blogger, Echesa is among the many top officials who need to be fired immediately.
“You fire CS Echesa but leave the president’s PA who is the head of wash-wash in the country,” Alai tweeted.
The controversial blogger went on to say, “We must fight corruption if we are really serious. Let’s not pretend.”
The blogger further criticised CS Amina Mohamed transfer to the Sports Ministry docket.
He argued that Amina is not competent to handle the docket.
The blogger accused the government of holding sportsmen with contempt.
Echesa’s sacking has elicited debate across the political divide.
He was sacked through an Executive Order.
Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) chairperson professor George Magoha has been nominated as Education CS.
