President Uhuru Kenyatta has fired Sports and Heritage Cabinet Secretary. The class seven drop-out who was vetted on February 9th, 2018, has been in the office for one year. following various issues on corruption surrounding the cabinet, Uhuru decided to reshuffle the cabinet as a way to curb graft.
In an executive directive signed by President Uhuru Kenyatta, Echesa will now be replaced by Education CS Amina Mohammed.
The order from the President reads: “…committed to enhancing efficiency, transparency and accountability at all levels of Government through a governance structure and leadership that ensures rapid delivery of public services to Kenyans in every part of the Republic.”
Prof. George Magoha, currently the Kenya National Examination Council Chairman, has been nominated to the Education Ministry.
