Sheila Mwanyigha sent out a tweet to encourage Kenyans to run this year in the ‘Beyond Zero’ Marathon but they have made it clear that they are not boarding.
Angry netizens accused her of supporting the initiative which according to them it one of the government’s scam.Adding that Government must take care of society’s medical needs.
“Registration is on for Beyond Zero Marathon, Scheduled for next weekend – 10th March, you can choose to be a part of this charitable initiative and run! Deadline to sign up is March 3rd”

In a bid to improve maternal and child health outcomes in Kenya, the First Lady Margaret Kenyatta launched the ‘Beyond Zero Campaign’.
But 5 years on this philanthropic campaign is eliciting severe backlash from Kenyans. This is because Kenyans feel that despite the several Beyond Zero half-marathons held to raise money, maternal healthcare is still sub-par.
Others feel that the campaign is just another scam while others expressed that the taxes we pay should be enough for a good healthcare system. And that is why celebrities who have associated themselves with the campaign have been dragged by their lace fronts.
