‘Newborn’ at Standard Media Group

The media conglomerate is currently testing all their transmitters ahead of the launch in March 2019.

The state-of-the-art studios are expected to add visuals to normal audio radio broadcasts – a concept known as visual radio

One of the stations, Spice FM will target an audience of young urban youth between 18 and 35 of age.

The other, Vybes FM will target lovers of reggae music genre.

Photos of Standard Media Head of Radio Tom Jappani with Morgan Heritage’s Mojo have further fueled the anticipation.

The new radio stations are going to unveil a completely new roster of presenters and hosts.

“No recycling of talents. Expect new personalities,” a well-placed source assured.

The entrance of the new stations will increase competition in the audiovisual radio industry.

Currently, only NRG Radio, that was launched in 2018, offers both audio and visual elements in their broadcast.
