‘It wasn’t Easy’ Ashley Young Speaks About Facing Zaha

Wilfred Zaha was a promising player at Manchester United and is currently one of Crystal Palace’s key men, presenting danger to any adversary. And during our clash in London was no exception. Ashley Young had to mark the forward and judging by the result, Young did just fine.

The Red Devils stopper shared his impressions from playing against Zaha:

“Wilf’s a tough opponent, he always has been with the tricks he’s got. I just had to stay and marshal him well, at times go tight and at times drop off.

“It wasn’t easy, it was tough, but I’ve stuck to my job and I think in the end I’ve come out on top.”

You know what, fair fucking play to this guy! Such an important player for Manchester United. Fully deserving of a contract extension in my opinion. Well done, @youngy18! 👍🏼 https://t.co/gtPBjSGHfG— DG⭐️ (@DillonGascoigne) February 28, 2019

Despite being the one to blame for the conceded goal, Young managed to write his wrongs by scoring and sealing our victory in London. The defender admitted his mistake and expressed his gratitude for our fans’ continued support this season.
