EPL speed machine reportedly wanted by Brendan Rodgers at Leicester

Leicester are reportedly interested in Bournemouth centre-forward Callum Wilson.

According to the Sun, new Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers is keen on making a move for the 27-year-old in the summer.

It is understood that the manager wants to remould his frontline and the Premier League speed machine is in his sights.

The report details that Wilson could cost up to £40million and may be tempted by a switch to the King Power Stadium to join an exciting project.

Wilson would be a masterstroke signing for Leicester if they can add him for next season, even if he’s going to cost a sizeable fee.

The England international has enjoyed a brilliant season for Bournemouth so far and is unfortunately sidelined at present with a knee injury.

He’s made 24 appearances across all competitions this term, scoring 11 goals and supplying six assists in return.

Wilson is a rapid striker that has proven himself in the top flight and appears to be going from strength to strength.

He’s managed to force his way into the national team picture due to the fact he’s got the pace to get in behind and can also hold up the ball well with his physical presence.

Wilson is very much a well balanced striker that could be an excellent heir to Jamie Vardy’s throne at Leicester and capturing his signature would be a major statement from Rodgers too.
