Arsenal is Put to Task as Harry Kane is Pardoned for Headbutt Against Azpilicueta

After losing 2-1 vs Burnley this past weekend Tottenham needed an instant reply vs Chelsea on Wednesday.

Both Man City and Liverpool picked up three points in their games vs West Ham and Watford.

So, Tottenham had to beat Chelsea to stay in the title race.

Unfortunately for Spurs fans, they would lose 2-0 to a Chelsea side who had lost three of their last five league games.

Pedro opened the scoring for Chelsea in the 57th minute with a Kieran Trippier own goal sealing Spurs fate in the 84th minute.

Tottenham are now nine points off top spot and all but out of the title race.

As well as blowing the title race, Tottenham could also have been without Harry Kane for this weekend’s North London derby.

During the Chelsea clash, Kane and Cesar Azpilicueta squared up to each other with Kane appearing to headbutt the Spaniard.

As a result, many people were expecting Kane to face a ban and be out vs Arsenal.

In a somewhat surprising decision though, it was revealed on Thursday that Kane will face no further action.

Kane will now be available to start vs Arsenal on Sunday. The Gunners are 4th in the league and four points behind Tottenham.
