Not only did Rodgers leave the Scottish champions, but his coach Kolo Toure has also made the move with the former Swansea and Liverpool manager.

And there could be more movement between the Scottish and English clubs.

According to the Times on Wednesday morning, Rodgers wants to bring three Celtic stars south of the border:

The club are braced for bids from Rodgers for Callum McGregor, the £15 million-rated Scotland midfielder, and James Forrest, the Scotland winger who would be valued at £10 million.

The manager is also an admirer of Kieran Tierney, the left back, but it is believed that he feels the 21-year-old would benefit from another year in Scotland to help him to prepare for the demands of the English game.

Do these targets make sense?

25-year-old Callum McGregor usually plays in centre-mid. He would seemingly be battling with the likes of James Maddison and possibly Youri Tielemans for a starting spot with the Foxes.

As for 27-year-old James Forrest, Leicester fans may argue he’d be surplus to requirements.

The Foxes already have Demarai Gray and Harvey Barnes coming through their ranks.

As for Kieran Tierney, while the full-back is undoubtedly highly rated, Ben Chilwell appears to have . along future ahead of him at Leicester.
